Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation salutes Kapil Kaul, winner of SATTE Young Achiever of the Year award
(Sydney, 22 April 2008) The Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation is delighted to announce that Kapil Kaul, CEO Indian Subcontinent & Middle East, has been presented with an award for Young Achiever of the Year at the 2008 South Asia Travel & Tourism Exchange (SATTE) Awards.
The award was presented at a ceremony at the Maurya Sheraton, New Delhi on 19 April, in front of a packed audience of over 400 senior executives from India and overseas, representing the leading organisations from the tourism and aviation industries.
These prestigious annual awards are presented by the organisers of SATTE in consultation with industry partners and associations. SATTE is the premier, annual travel industry event in India and South Asia, established for 15 years and attracting close to 10,000 visitors.
Binit Somaia, Sydney-based Director of the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation India, said "we warmly congratulate Kapil on this award and are proud to be represented in India by a professional of such distinction. Kapil has consistently been a thought leader and is a generous human being of the highest integrity."
The award recognises Mr Kaul’s exemplary contribution to the evolution of the aviation industry. He established the New Delhi office of the Sydney-based Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation in 2003, and in less than 5 years has spearheaded the development of India’s leading aviation consulting, research and capital advisory practice.
Other Young Achiever award winners included Deep Kalra, CEO, MakeMyTrip.com; Ankur Bhatia, MD, Bird Group and Manav Thadani, CEO, HVS India. Meanwhile, P.R.S. Oberoi, CEO of Oberoi Hotels was presented with a lifetime achievement award for his contribution to the hotel industry.
